The Reverse Weave hoodie debuted in a silver gray colorway between 1958 and 1959. In addition to the Reverse Weave fabric, each included side gussets, front pocket, double thick hood and drawstring. Thin, oval-shaped grommets were utilized around the drawstring holes to prevent the fabric from tearing during repeated tightening of the drawstrings. Circular brass grommets would replace the oval style in the late 1960s. Many early Reverse Weave hoodies used the imprinting technique
of their predecessor, style PDSL, by applying prints on the rear side of the garment instead of the front.
